Karenb, welcome to Poasters.Com, Multifunction Printers are a good idea. I have owned three now. HP, Canon, and Lexmark. One thing they all have in common is ink cartridges. Some are very high priced. Before making your selectiion try to find out the cost of the different brands of Ink Jet cartridges for cost efextiveness.  As for the HP OfficeJet T45XI check this link CNET

I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive home printer with scan, fax and copy capability. I'm considering a HP Office Jet T45XI.  Can anyone comment on this printer or steer me to something better?
