Neon,

My advice is to go back to the last NetMedic if you have it. MyVitalAgent is a watered- down version and less useful in general.

While the appearance of MyVitalAgent is a little flashier with output meters rather than logs, it's actual more cumbersome to get any real info. (I do have all the available features with my USR modem, by the way).

As I said before, the Report feature has been butchered, with only the Call log printable. I haven't found a way to save anything as a text file, and the new Application log is just a pie chart. Whoopee.

I would guess that ISPs were complaining, since most of the features that made NetMedic useful for diagnosing, documenting and reporting ISP shortcomings have been disabled.

Maybe I'm missing something, but that's my opinion.

I think you're absolutely correct. It doesn't surprise me at all that the reporting feature is gone. With the way NetMedic automated the process, it must be very annoying to answer the mail at an ISP. They probably were complaining.

What I don't understand is why Lucent would bother to water down a perfectly good program to make it less useful. Fortunately, I still have NetMedic, so it's getting reinstated.
