Gremlins hit my Laptops?

One dell cpi and one dell xpi....
Batteries were removed for storage about 3 years ago.
I reinserted batteries but neither will either boot or recharge.

any info appreciated.

You don't need the batteries installed. Will either boot if just plugged in?

Neither will boot! >:(

The cpi will show flashing battery light but thats all.

The cpx is as dead as a do-do :o

Neither got damp as they were stored at a temp of 12 deg. Celsius.

Given that lithium ion batteries have a design life of 18-24 months, it's likely they need to be replaced.  If the system won't power up without battery, though (AC only) you have other issues.
