Seven Layer Bean Dip

Ingredients:

ââ?¬Â¢   2 large cans of Old El Paso ââ?¬Å?Traditionalââ?¬Â refried beans (31oz cans)
ââ?¬Â¢   2 pounds of extra lean ground beef
ââ?¬Â¢   3 packages of taco seasoning mix (1.25oz packs, Ortega brand is ideal)
ââ?¬Â¢   2 large, or 3 to 4 medium size tomatoes
ââ?¬Â¢   1 bunch of green onions
ââ?¬Â¢   1 large container of sour cream (32oz)
ââ?¬Â¢   1 container of guacamole (14oz to 16oz)
ââ?¬Â¢   About 8oz to 10oz of sliced or chopped black olives
ââ?¬Â¢   1 package of shredded Colby Jack cheese (8oz)
ââ?¬Â¢   1 or 2 large packages of tortilla chips to dip with
ââ?¬Â¢   Salsa of your choice (optional)
ââ?¬Â¢   Shredded lettuce (optional)

Prepare as follows:

1.   First Layer: Mix cans of Old El Paso refried beans with 1 package of taco seasoning and one bunch of chopped green onions.
2.   Second Layer: Cook ground beef with 2 packages of taco seasoning (follow instructions on taco seasoning).
3.   Third Layer: Add sour cream.
4.   Fourth Layer: Add guacamole.
5.   Fifth Layer: Add diced tomatoes.
6.   Sixth Layer: Add sliced black olives.
7.   Seventh Layer: Add grated Colby Jack cheese.

Recommendations:

ââ?¬Â¢   The beans are easier to mix and spread if slightly warmed in the microwave.
ââ?¬Â¢   Empty the guacamole container, wash it inside and out, and fill it with salsa of your choice. Place the salsa-filled container in the center of the platter.
ââ?¬Â¢   Top with shredded lettuce, if desired.
ââ?¬Â¢   Best served slightly cold.

Bill

This looks surprisingly like a 7 layer dip served by a resturant chain named TGI Friday's

Well, anything is possible, I suppose. It's not like there's any secret ingredients.  :) You know, sort of like a seven layer hamburger:

1. bun
2. beef
3. ketchup
4. pickle
5. onion
6. lettuce
7. tomato

Anyway, I got the bean recipe from a previous co-worker and I made some adjustments.

Looks good minus the guacamole.

I think guacamole is too fattening for my taste. Harpers Ferry is a nice place, so I hope you get some good shots (pictures in case Ace sees this).
