Foxit Reader 2

A couple months after installing Adobe Reader 8, I finally got sick and tired of this over bloated reader. I had heard of Foxit Reader 2.0 as a great replacement, and I finally decided to give it a try. Now I'm angry at myself for having waited so long.

The difference between the two is like night and day, with Foxit Reader being the guiding light. When I uninstalled Adobe, I noticed that it was taking up 117MB of space. Foxit Reader takes up less than 4MB. Foxit Reader is much, much faster than Adobe, it doesn't bog down your system, and it doesn't have annoying splash screens or complicated updates.

It simply works, and it works beautifully.

Geez, what a difference.  Speed, size, even the colors seem better!!!

Guess I don't have to announce that Foxit Reader 2 is available.

I've never had or used Acrobat writer but I'd bet a good portion of writer comes with the download of reader - rhetorically speaking.

The way foxit works makes me think adobe tracks how many sodas i drink, monitor my web usage, see if my cloths mismatch, and cause
the cramps in my legs. So ya Thumbs wayyy up on foxit!

I've been using Foxit Reader on my laptop for a few months now.  I always found Adobe Reader to be excruciatingly slow on that system, due to the huge amount of plugins that are installed by default, which when combined with a slow hard drive causes it to take an age to startup.  Foxit starts up almost instantly and whats more it's quicker when actually viewing the pages too.
