There should be an adapter on the old drive. You need to take the adapter and casing off of the old drive and put them on the new.

Unfortunately, my old drive didn't have an obvious adapter like the one in your link.  I had to turn in my old drive to get a replacement, so can't confirm or deny whether there was an extender attached or not.

All I know is the new one doesn't make a connection :(

Anybody know where I can get a replacement connector???

Irritated owner of a $3000 paperweight!

Gimme1

Hi, I'm back!

The HD on my laptop decided it was done playing recently.  It was still under warranty, and I had it replaced with the same model by Toshiba.  Now, however, when I try to install it into the bay, I notice that there's no way to make the internal connection.  Is there an adapter or something that needs to be connected to the drive pins in order to reach the connector???  Please help, my frustration level has just about reached critical mass!  :)
