mitac 7321 problem

Hi all

besides the optical drive problem me and a-zareba  are having i was wondering of any of you guys could shed some light on this one too..

this laptop is a tiny 7321 (mitac7321) it has a amd athlonxp1600 cpu but when i open system propertys it says....

mobile amd athlon(tm)41600+
Processor
490MHz

i click on it again and it says its a 990MHz
any ideas how i can sort this?

Hi,
It's because your "mobile Athlon4" CPU uses PowerNow! to dynamically adjust the clock speed based upon the workload of the system.  Rest assured that when needed, it will run at the full speed.  At other times, it will run slower to save power (but it's so seamless you don't notice).

ah rite cheers mate i did see that powernow on the cdr but i never knew what it done thanks a lot mate i was thinking that was dodgy along with my rom...thanks again mate
